About the Band

Funk Harmony Park and The Bonsey AwardFormed in South Bend, IN, Funk Harmony Park played to regional acclaim from 1997 to 2001 before going their separate ways to college and new careers. That’s where matters rested until 2006, when Funk Harmony Park returned for a legendary one-off Christmas show at the Vine Restaurant’s basement in Downtown South Bend. The response and thrill of playing together again convinced the band to repeat and expand the experience every Christmas season since. In 2010 the band played a sold out benefit show at Martha’s Midway Tavern, which exceeded expectations. Since then Funk Harmony Park has hosted themed extravaganzas around Christmas time raising thousands of dollars every year for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Joseph County – which provides volunteer mentors to children. In 2013 the band began working on their second record consisting of new original material and unrecorded favorites with an expected release in 2015.
